Internship

The Zhou Brothers Art Foundation internship program welcomes students and graduates who wish to broaden their education by working and learning in a professional not-for-profit organization. Internships are offered by the Zhou Brothers Art Foundation throughout the year and enable students to gain first-hand experience in their areas of interest or study. Interns will be working under the guidance of Oskar Friedl – curator of ZBAF – to assist in routine departmental work that ranges from special projects, giving a live tour, doing research etc…

Interns are college level students, or graduate students. A major in art history or fine art is not essential. Internships are offered unpaid of for academic credit. Students are responsible for making appropriate arrangements with their schools to receive credit for internships. Hours vary and are flexible; however, a minimum of 12 to 15 hours per week is generally expected. Students must be earning academic credit at the time of the internship.


Title: Zhou B Intern
Department: Public Affairs
Description: Intern works with all aspects of public affairs, including in research for and writing press releases and promotional materials, researching and updating press lists, maintaining news files, phone work, and various office duties.

Title: Zhou B Intern
Department: Retail
Description: Interns assist the manager of the retail operations with the daily operations of the Zhou B merchandise store, including merchandising, marketing, and public relations. Candidates should have experience in retail, merchandise display, or visual arts, plus an interest in shopping.

Title: Zhou B Intern
Department: Curatorial
Description: Interns assist with research projects and administrative tasks including preparing artists’ bibliographies and biographies and responding to general inquiries from scholars and the public about artists and artworks. Interns may also assist with writing gallery labels, data entry, copying articles, typing, filing, and preparing correspondence. Candidates must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented. They should have computer and administrative skills.
